Extronics gains ISO 9001:2015 certification

Extronics is pleased to announce that at our recent audit, we gained ISO 9001:2015 certification. This builds on our previous ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, and is part of our program of continuous improvement to ensure we’re delivering high quality to our customers.

The International Organization for Standardization defines the ISO 9001:2015 standard. By fulfilling these externally-set requirements, Extronics demonstrates that we consistently provide products and services that comply with customer and regulatory requirements. Customer care, integrity, and accountability are part of Extronics’ core values, so it’s important to us that we meet these certification requirements.

Our Quality Engineer, Anna Pszenna, led us through this process with input from some external consultants to ensure that we’re following recommended best practices. “For those who don’t fully understand what’s involved, let me tell you that this was no easy task. We started the process in 2016, and gained momentum when Anna joined the company in May 2017. Anna has worked incredibly hard on this task, and as a team, we’re very proud that we’re certified to the latest quality standard”, said Nick Saunders, Operations Director.

We undergo regular audits to make sure we’re fully adhering to these requirements, and our next external audit will be in December 2018. We supplement this with ongoing internal audits throughout the year.

As well as our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance certificate, we hold quality accreditation for ATEX and IECEx manufacturing.
