Future of AeroScout industrial solutions secure
STANLEY Healthcare’s AeroScout® RTLS Solutions Now Available via Extronics for Industrial Applications.
WALTHAM, Mass. and CHESHIRE, UK, October 6, 2015 –STANLEY Healthcare, a market leading provider of visibility solutions and analytics for the healthcare industry, has entered into an agreement to supply its AeroScout Real-Time Location System (RTLS) solutions to Extronics Ltd., a leading global designer and manufacturer of intrinsically safe and explosion-proof equipment. The agreement replaces a previous reseller relationship between Extronics and Stanley Black & Decker’s AeroScout Industrial group.
Under the terms of the agreement, Extronics will sell, service, and support the AeroScout product line for its global customers in mining, oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and other industrial applications. Extronics brings a range of value-added services to personnel and asset tracking applications in industrial environments, including specialized housings and other modifications for tags and infrastructure equipment, as well as expertise in wireless solution design for outdoor and hazardous areas.
“Extronics’ experience with wireless solutions for industrial applications and familiarity with the AeroScout solutions make them the ideal partner for STANLEY Healthcare,” said Marty Guay, president of STANLEY Healthcare. “This agreement enables us to expand our footprint in cooperation with an experienced partner who is able to manage all stages of sales, deployment and ongoing support for the industries they serve.”
The AeroScout family of solutions is the recognized leader in RTLS applications for healthcare. It has been named the KLAS Category Leader for RTLS for four consecutive years, occupying this prestigious position since the inception of the category.
“Extronics are ideally placed to build on the AeroScout Industrial legacy,” says John Hartley, Managing Director of Extronics. “We’ve over 20 years of experience in the industrial sector and have been working with AeroScout for 10 years, so we have a solid understanding of the solutions and products in the range. We’ve recently opened a new division for AeroScout products and related offerings, Extronics Advance, to drive solution focus for our customers and partners.”
Both STANLEY Healthcare and Extronics see this agreement as a way forward for ongoing development of RTLS solutions in hazardous and industrial areas, bringing the latest technological advances into these highly regulated sectors.
