Extronics & Omni-ID sign Global Partnership Agreement

Extronics and Omni-ID Sign Distribution Agreement to Provide Hazardous Area RFID Tags. The agreement significantly extends the Extronics range of Personnel & Asset tracking solutions

Manchester, UK. 30^th March 2011.  Extronics, a leading designer and manufacturer of intrinsically safe and explosion proof equipment, and Omni-ID, the leading supplier of high-performance passive UHF RFID tags, today announced a preferred distribution agreement to provide ATEX, IECEx and Factory Mutual certified and marked Omni-ID RFID tags to customers worldwide. Additionally, Extronics will certify Omni-ID passive RFID tags and managing the ongoing product conformity.

The agreement with Omni-ID means that Extronics is now to offer a complete range of Personnel & Asset tracking solutions for hazardous environments. “We have recently experienced a dramatic upsurge of enquiries from leading companies seeking effective tracking solutions for hazardous areas” said John Hartley, M.D. Extronics.
