The Role – Stores Operative

Reporting to the Production Controller, as the Stores Operative you will take a proactive approach to working within our stores area to ensure our ship runs smoothly. You will achieve this by:

  • Supporting the operation from goods inward inspections through to ensuring our production area has the components to deliver their projects
  • Completing day to day stores tasks, including inventory management and general stock control
  • Undertaking necessary training to become the Goods Inward Inspection (GII) specialist, undertaking visual inspections, documentation comparisons and physical measurements
  • Troubleshooting with other team members when goods arrive outside of specifications, working through problems with the Engineering Team
  • Controlling aged inventory and cycle counts
  • Packaging finished goods, ready for shipment

Our Requirements – Stores Operative

Whilst experience is welcome, most important to us is that you have the right attitude and desire to develop your career with our growing company. However, you will need to have:

  • IT literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a drive to succeed and progress
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Superb attention to detail with an organised approach

  • A salary in the region of £19,000 to £20,000, with the level dependent on experience
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Company-wide profit share scheme
  • Permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week from our site in Middlewich (Cheshire) with the ability to work flexibly with start and finish times
