Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will take a proactive approach to undertaking all of our software and firmware requirements for both new product and our existing portfolio

Here’s the lowdown, let’s see if you have what it takes…

As the Software Tester, your duties will include;

  • Carrying out software and firmware testing and proactively making recommendations for future improvements
  • Designing and implementing test procedures and protocols, as well developing and documenting manual and automatic testing
  • Looking after releases, testing platforms and supporting systems
  • Ensuring the software / firmware meets specified standards, test criteria, architectural requirements and company protocols
  • Documenting bug / defect / test reports
  • Developing and maintaining coding to modern practices & applicable standards

As the Software Tester, your skills & experience would ideally include;

  • An IT / Software related degree, with some experience of testing
  • Experience with Java/SQL/C/Python would be preferred
  • A passion and flair for technology with a desire to grow and develop your skillset
  • A proactive, inquisitive and creative mindset – someone who enjoys coming up with new ideas, especially new applications for existing processes and solving problems during the design and development phases
  • High attention to detail, able to stay calm under pressure and multitask to the max
  • The ability to work well in a team – the team culture is very important here & everyone celebrates each other’s successes

You will receive a salary in the region of £30,000 to £40,000 level dependent on experience. Plus, attractive benefits including 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company-wide profit share scheme, and a flexible working scheme.

You will be based in the company offices in Middlewich, employed on a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week with the ability to work flexible hours around your home life.
