What will this role of Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer entail?

Reporting to the Team Leader, as an Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer you’ll be responsible for developing the next generation of electronic products which will underpin our exciting growth plans for the future.

You’ll be responsible for the development of embedded firmware solutions that incorporate microcontrollers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS technologies as a starting point.

Working as part of a team, you’ll identify and research the next technologies that will support future generations of Extronics’ products, and help deliver products into production that meet demanding market requirements, and also cost, time and quality targets.

What will I receive in return?

As an Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer you will receive a salary in the region of £40,000 to £50,000 level dependent on experience. Plus, attractive benefits including 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company-wide profit share scheme, and a flexible working scheme.

You will be based in the company offices in Middlewich, employed on a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week within Monday to Friday, with the ability to work flexible hours around your home life.

What will I need to be considered for this Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer vacancy?

  • Proven experience working as an Embedded Software Engineer / Developer using agile methodologies
  • A degree in an Electronics related discipline
  • Experience of embedding C firmware development across a range of platforms
  • Creative and willing to push boundaries with an excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage tight project timescales
