The iWAP MOBILE provides the ability to quickly deploy wireless infrastructure in remote locations, parts of the plant that do not have permanent WLAN coverage or can be used for carrying out RF surveys prior to installing a WLAN permanently.
The system is designed around Extronics' iWAP Wireless series of products for use in extreme environments. They incorporate an iWAP Access Point Enclosure System and 1 or 2 iANT antenna's along with a suitable wireless access point. The rugged plastic anti-static enclosure conforming to EN60079-0 and EN60079-14 protects the internal equipment from the environment and makes it easy to transport due to the built-in wheels and handle.
Various types of Explosion
Proof (Exd) live disconnect connectors can be fitted to connect to
power and Ethernet networks or allow multiple iWAP MOBILE systems
to be connected together for special applications.
To complement the system a range of cable reels and special cable assemblies are available to ensure the maximum efficiency, safety and convenience when in use.
