The 1036E & F Electrostatic Fieldmeter probes are designed to measure electrostatic charge accumulation. As the charge increases on the surface of a material, the electrostatic field in the vicinity increases proportionately, which in turn is measured by the probe.

The 1036E and 1036F are electrically identical. The major differences are physical. The 1036E is for industrial applications and is built into a standard electrical switchbox with a stainless steel cover. The Model 1036F is a smaller light weight version for less rugged enviroments. Both are designed to be used with static monitors which can be supplied by Extronics.
