A comprehensive range of local motor isolation units, the series 8537 has an interlocked padlockable switch handle. The series 8537 safety switches interlock traps the cover in the off position, to prevent cover removal and the possibility of engaging the switch by turning the operating shaft directly.

Safety switches have either 3 mains poles + 1 aux or 6 main poles + 2 aux. In each case one of the auxiliary contacts is an early break/late make for incorporation in the drive control circuit and is rated at 10A.
