The iSTART100 is a starter designed for applications requiring DoL (Direct on Line) starting of motors and can be customised for use on a wide range of industrial equipment.
Thermal overload current settings are available from 0.15A up to 32Amps. Short circuit protection is provided by means of an integral motor MCB. This gives a short circuit protection of 50kA @ 440V.
Using the TeSys Model U motor starter range, from Schneider Electric, Extronics iSTART100's can be produced quickly reducing lead times to days.
As standard the iSTART100 has, mounted on the lid, a lockable isolator and short circuit trip reset handle, an illuminated push button for 'Start' function and 'Run' indication, and an illuminated push button for 'Stop' function and 'Trip' indication.
The iSTART100 can be used as a stand alone unit or integrated into a wider machine control system with provision for remote start/stop and emergency stop built in as standard. The iSTART00 also has the facility to output to an external machine monitoring system via auxiliary contacts on the starter components.
