The MX 57 is an intrinsically safe multimeter, The approval allows measurements of voltage of upto 60V, Current 500mA outside the hazardous area it can be used without these restriction. Resistance, continuity and diode test are also available with a temperature option using PT100 probes there is also a dB function available.

One unique feature is that it has a user replaceable “EX” internal fuse which is a common reason for a lot of existing Exi multimeters to be sent back to the factory for repair.
